May 8th Neighborhood Happy Hour

Hello Rosedalians,

I wanted to plan a fun Happy Hour for our neighborhood and reached out to our newest Rosedale restaurant to see if they would be interested in partnering up to host it. The Guild, https://guildaustin.com/, has not only cheerfully agreed, but will run drink specials for us and offer a few appetizers for us to try (first come, first serve). How nice, right?!?

I am curious and excited to check them out and I bet you are too! So, spread the word and mark your calendars- May 8th from 5:00-6:30 PM (3800 N Lamar Blvd Suite 170, Austin, TX 78756). I look forward to seeing you all there for a relaxed evening of socializing among friends, both old and new.

P.S. If you are thinking you may stay for dinner after, you may want to make a reservation.

Rosedale Neighborhood Association Meeting Monday, 1/22/18, at Café Express

The Rosedale Neighborhood Association will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday evening, January 22, 2018, at 7 pm. The Yarborough Library is not available for meetings this year as it undergoes renovations. This Monday’s meeting will convene at Café Express on Lamar/Medical Parkway. (We are in the process of considering other suitable locations for the next year).

This month’s agenda will include:

  1. A presentation on behalf of the owners of the property containing the house at 3904 Medical Parkway regarding the redevelopment of the site, currently zoned residential. The developer wants the RNA to consider other uses of the property that would require a zoning change.
  2. A discussion of the potential effects on air quality presented by the planned Rudy’s BBQ restaurant at the old 2J’s/EZ’s site on Lamar.
  3. Discussion of possible changes to RNA’s bylaws and meeting schedule, including frequency and location of meetings.
  4. Any available updates regarding CodeNext, the Grove, and the city’s development of a bond package that could affect parks and pools.

We welcome discussion of anything else you are interested in bringing up… surprise us!

Hope to see you there!
