Unrelated to the park renovation: The present play scape metal slide is 8 ft. in height. The burn potential on metal is high so PARD wants to replace it with a double wave slide that is 7 ft tall. Picture shown. Replace pea gravel in the fall zone with engineered fiber.

Draught House
Chris Allen summarized a variance request concerning parking situation and expansion of pub to the second floor, moving the existing outdoor area.
Chris then introduced:
Josh Wilson, Glenda Smith and Jim Bennett (their zoning rep). They explained the proposed changes and their plan to correct some zoning issues from the past, specifically the location of their outdoor seating which is currently too close to the adjoining neighbors. They are planning to move it to the Medical Parkway side (east) of the parking lot. They will be going before the Board of Adjustment in May to get a variance on offsite parking. They have made arrangements for offsite parking 1200 feet from the bar but the requirement is within 1000 feet. Josh suggested shuttle services could be made available from the remote area to the DH. Notices were sent out to nearby neighbors. RNA steers will consider a comment to the variance request after feedback is received from the hood. The BOA will listen to the neighborhood associations.
Choices for RNA response are:
• Support
• Don’t oppose (neutral)
• Oppose.

A straw poll was taken at this meeting, which favored granting the variance.
The closest neighbors will get notification in May. RNA’s position will reflect neighbors’ position on the variance.
